About

We invite property developers and governments to invest community development resources differently, in a more sustainable, impactful and measurable way. Paper Plain is a human-centric digital platform that on-boards residents and helps them build a strong community through community-driven activities; and enables developers and governments to create better places with live data and insights.

Why do we exist?

We want to inspire and enable communities to create thriving neighbourhoods where they feel they belong. With 1 in 4 Australians feeling lonely, we know that building just the hardware -- the footpaths, buildings and infrastructure -- doesn't necessarily create communities.

We spoke with many community champions who want to do more for their communities, but don't have the right mechanisms to meet, communicate, collaborate and influence local decisions.

We also know that there isn't enough data and insights that can guide property developers and governments to invest in communities effectively.

So that's why we are here. We plan to radically change the way communities self-organise and support them to step into power.
